...BLOWING DUST ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 3 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 10 PMMST THIS EVENING...* WHAT...Strong and gusty thunderstorm outflows are expected toproduce blowing dust today, possibly developing into a haboob.Outflows will move west and northwest across portions of Pima andsoutheast Pinal counties. Visibility between one-quarter and onemile in blowing dust expected.* WHERE...Catalina and Rincon Mountains, South Central Pinal County,Southeast Pinal County, Tohono O'odham Nation, and Tucson MetroArea.* WHEN...From 3 PM this afternoon to 10 PM MST this evening.* IMPACTS...Blowing dust can restrict visibilities below a mileposing a significant hazard to motorists. In addition, strong andgusty winds will likely suspend dust into the air that people andanimals breathe. Individuals with heart disease and respiratorysensitivities may want to reduce their level of exertion to limitthe dust they breathe into their lungs, especially if they arenear dust prone locations. Those most at risk may feel better ifthey avoid outside exercise today, keeping windows and doorsclosed to help reduce exposure.PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...Persons with respiratory problems should make preparations to stayindoors until the storm passes. STORMTRACKER 4 FORECAST — Monsoon storms are expected to be on the rise as we head into the weekend and beyond.

Widespread severe weather is unlikely Saturday, but much better storm chances begin on Sunday and last through the 4th of July.
