Description

English: In this memorial in en:Westerbork transit camp the stars symbolise the Jews, the flames the Roma and Sinti and the empty blocks are for the anonymous "verzetsstrijders" (freedom activists) - if I remember correctly. From “kamp Westerbork” (Drenthe, NL) approximately 107000 people were deported during the 2nd world war. Only 5000 survived.

Solo 5000 sobrevivieron.
