Wisconsin might be known for its beer, but you probably know by now we have a number of great wineries as well! Locally, Timber Hill Winery has more than 40 different wines, which means you’re sure to find a few you love. The Beloit Sky Carp - Gateway Professional Baseball, LLC started another homestand last night, which made us think back to Shar Hermanson, our President and CEO, throwing out the first pitch a couple weeks back. Was it a strike? No. But did she ask for a do-over like one of the others did? Also no.The Sky Carp are raising funds through the rest of the season for the ongoing support of those that were affected by the tornado that touched down in Janesville in June. That's the final home game of the year, and the Sky Carp are honoring the life and legacy of the late, great Sam Loizzo. Sam, a longtime teacher in Janesville, was truly one of the best.
