SERVICE CONNECTION....The listening stick which is a traditional tool used to detect leaks by amplifying sounds from pipes, proved insufficient in accurately identifying the leak. As a result the pipe mic more advanced acoustic device specifically designed for leak detection, was employed to precisely locate the leak. This approach ensured a more accurate and efficient identification of the problem area.#leakdetection #savewater #watercrisis #waterloss #watermanagment #smartwaternetworks #waterconservation #sustainability Mohammed suhair P Sujith Mj Selvamani Padmanaban

In combined sewer systems, baffles can be a simple, low-cost, low-maintenance option for preventing floatable debris from entering waterways during a sewer overflow event. However, in one pilot program that tested various floatables controls (see link in comments), Hazen & Sawyer found that "weirs and baffles [were] marginally effective – need good hydraulics at CSO diversion (check underflow velocity)." FLOW-3D HYDRO provides an efficient way to analyse the hydraulics at diversion structures and inspect your baffle's underflow velocities. As this video shows, you can even release floatable particles to represent floatable debris and estimate the retention of floatable materials within your diversion structure. #flow3d 🌧 #flow3dhydro#combinedseweroverflows
