Yet a new era of entertainment is trending where viewers are interested in knowing how well a person survives. Survivor- which aired on CBS for the first time in 2000, is back with another banging strategy season. The Emmy-nominated show is again hosted by Jeff Probst and will focus on testing the participant’s skills, where they all will try to win $1 million.

The fans have been providing much love to the show despite the COVID restrictions. Many even worried about how the show will continue due to the travel restrictions and health guidelines. Well, it is obvious that the show indeed ‘survived’ (pun intended) and is back with yet another 18 players ready to fight to victory.

These players would be tested on the grounds of mental and physical challenges as they face the basic needs of human survival, including food, water, and, most importantly, shelter in the wilderness. It is fair to say that covid protocols were kept in mind while bringing back this season which aired its first episode on 21st September 2022. The episodes, however, have been reduced to 13 due to the final number of days being 26 from 39.

Survivor 43 Filming Locations

“Fiji offers us everything that we want.” The enthralling and dramatic series has brought the fans to another season of exciting adventures in the tropical climate of Fiji, where even the contestants are unaware of the new games that the creators have organized for them in the name of survival. This season of Survivor was filmed in Mamanuca Islands, Fiji. It does ring a bell to many consistent fans that the last 11 seasons have also been shot in the exact location, and there are many reasons for Fiji being the ideal location for Survivor.

While the earlier seasons have been covered in locations like Africa, Thailand, Australia, Malaysia, and even China, the crew’s COVID travel protocols and safety concerns made Fiji the ideal decision. Fiji is an island country in the South Pacific Ocean, which makes it a short trip from Los Angeles. The show is consistently being filmed at this location since Fiji serves the idea of a tropical destination, and the shooting of both Season 43 and 44 was covered in Springtime for these reasons.

The shooting is ideally done in places with a warm climate, and according to the creators, they feel as if not many locations are left to cover. This might be backed by another reason why Fiji offers both climate and satisfaction for the crew. Mamanuca Islands is a group of 20 volcanic islands in the Nadroga-Navosa Province. They lay west of Nadi and south of the Yasawa Islands.

A vast blue ocean surrounds the island with a sun-warming white beach, fascinating views, and coral reefs. The location is the perfect spot for the production of shows and movies since many creators prefer locations that are easy to film and near LA but also provide a view to die for. The exotic spot is home to many productions like Adrift and Fantasy Island.

The filming had begun like all seasons in April and was extended till May. The shooting for even the next season was resumed immediately after this, but the participants of the next season are unaware of the challengers or whereabouts of this season. The 18 cast members were announced on 31st August 2022 and divided into Baka, Coco, and Vesi. These contestants will be joining the journey towards an adventure-filled season, however, this time with new challenges.

The Hate-Love Game

The decade-long fans have shown a love and hate relationship towards the show. The fans have shown liking towards all attractive participants of the three tribes. While Cody Assenmacher, Dwight Moore, Justine Brennan, Nneka Ejere, Noelle Lambert, and Jesse Lopez are part of the Vesi tribe; Geo Bustamante, Lindsay Carmine, Cassidy Clark, Karla Cruz Godoy, James Jones, and Ryan Medrano make up the Coco tribe. The Baka tribe features Mike Gabler, Owen Knight, Sami Layadi, Elisabeth “Elie” Scott, Moriah Young, and Jeanine Zheng.

The fans are looking forward to alliances, betrayal, and, most importantly, the season’s winner.
