Alice Mae Smith Wells, 75, Columbus, passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Magnolia Manor Nursing Home. She was born on May 24, 1940 to the late Arthur Lee Smith and Mary Alice Chambers Smith in Fort Mitchell, AL. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three siblings Jennie Elizabeth Smith, Robert Lee Smith, and Arthur Lee, Smith, Jr. and her husband, William Robert Wells. She accepted Christ at an early age at her church, St.

John A.M.E. Church in Fort Mitchell, AL. While living in Columbus Gardens she attended Fourth Street Baptist Church. Her work life included employment with Fieldcrest Mills, Cobb Memorial Hospital and personal care services. She proudly talked about her children and grandchildren to any and every one.

Michael Wells is her born. Pino Wells is her only daughter. Margo Wells (Edna) is her third child and second son. Mark Wells is her baby boy. Her grandchildren are Michael W.

Wells, C. Ryan Alexander, Mariah C. Locklear Wells, Braxton Wells, AJ Wright, Jessica Walker, Melissa Carden and Amanda Carden. She was very active in the lives of her nieces, Mary Smith and Patricia Smith Howell. She was also very involved in the lives of her friends as well.

Hans J. Junker was born on October 2, 1934 in Bremen, Germany to the late Katie Haeyer Junker and Gerold Junker. He moved to the United States with his family in 1959 and shortly after he joined the U.S. Army serving for six years and then continuing his trade as an upholsterer, he was known to be one of the best in the area. He was married to the late Annie Louise Bussey Junker.

Survivors include his stepdaughters, Carol West of Pensacola, Florida and Linda Gould of Phenix City, Alabama; grandsons: Mark Gould, Steven Gould, Lance Gould and Brian Wright; and ten great-grandchildren.
